What does it mean to be “My Brother’s Keeper”?
To be "My Brother's Keeper" means to take responsibility for the well-being of others, demonstrating compassion, empathy, and support. It reflects a commitment to look out for those around you, ensuring they have the care, guidance, and assistance they need, particularly during difficult times.
The phrase, rooted in the Biblical story of Cain and Abel, symbolizes a sense of duty and moral obligation to support and uplift others, fostering a community where everyone’s needs are met and no one is left behind.
“Show me your ways, Lord, teach me your paths. Guide me in your truth and teach me, for you are God my Savior, and my hope is in you all day long.”— Psalm 25:4-5
